Spectific sales
conditions

This document informs clients of LVH VACANCES, prior to the signature of their contract, of the content of the facilities pertaining to their holiday, the price and payment terms and the conditions for cancellation and alteration of the contract. We reserve the option to alter any information pertaining to prices and the opening and closing dates of the résidences and hotels offered in accordance with the terms set out in the general conditions without any commitment on the part of the company in respect of any such alterations.
Insofar as is possible, we undertake to notify the interested parties as soon as possible of any changes that we may be obliged to make to this information before their contract is concluded. Our general sales conditions conform to tourism legislation. In order to fulfil the legal requirements, articles R211-3 to R211-11 of the said legislation are reproduced.

1 - Registration and reservation conditions

For simple holidays, all registrations must be accompanied by a payment including :

  • the reservation fee
  • for reservations via Internet: 10 € per reservation
  • for others: reservation fees of 20 € per reservation

No reservation fees will be required for reservations effected in the residences

  • a deposit equivalent to :
    25 % of the total cost of your rental and any additional facilities integrated or not and in particular catering, ski passes, lessons and equipment etc.
    100 % of the insurance premiums if insurance is required.

Your payment must reach us within 5 working days of the provisional reservation being made. Beyond this time, your option will be cancelled.
Your reservation will be considered definitive as soon as it is confirmed by us (a reservation confirmation sent by e-mail).
In the absence of confirmation by us, your reservation cannot be considered definitive.

Nota Bene : We provide a general description and photographs of our apartments for information purposes only and these are non- contractual.
Some apartments are equipped for persons of reduced mobility. Do not hesitate to enquire at the time of reservation. We would remind you, moreover, that any request for a specific orientation or situation of an apartment will be considered as a simple preference and will not constitute a contractual obligation. All our establishments are non-smoking.
Ski pass and cancellation insurance: the date of birth and name of each party member is required. In the event of false information being supplied, the client alone will be responsible for any resulting financial penalties.

2 - Payment of the balance

Full payment of the cost of your rental and any additional facilities is required 30 days before the start of your holiday. In the case of late reservation, less than 35 days before your arrival, the total cost of the holiday will be required at the time of reservation. Should the balance remain unpaid 16 days before arrival, LVH VACANCES reserve the right to consider your reservation as being cancelled and consequently to apply the cancellation conditions that provide for this eventuality and which are outlined below

3 - Means of payment - prices

You may pay for your reservation by credit/debit card or bank transfer.
Credit/debit cards accepted: Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard/ Amex
Bank details for transfers: on request

3.1 - Prices

Our prices include all taxes and comprise the provision of accommodation, charges included (water, electricity, heating), with the exception of tourist tax, which is payable direct in the resort. Unless otherwise stated, the prices shown in the schedules are on the basis of :
- hotels - per person based on accommodation in a double room occupied by 2 adults. Child reductions apply when children are accommodated in the room of 2 adults paying the full price;
- rentals: per accommodation unit. Occupation of the accommodation is strictly limited to the number of persons shown and may not in any circumstances by occupied a higher number with the exception of 1 baby per accommodation unit.

3.2 - Tourist tax

Tourist tax is collected on behalf of the municipalities and is not included in our prices. The amount varies according to the municipality. It is to be paid in the resort.

4 - Alteration to and cancellation of holidays

4.1 - Alteraction

All alteration requests must be made in writing and sent to our reservation department by e-mail, fax or post. The alteration will only be effective after confirmation by us and after a new reservation contract has been sent.

a) Alteration to apartment type
Our reservation department will make every effort to fulfil your requests to alter the type of apartment as far as is possible within the limits of availability. Should the cost of your reservation (excluding optional facilities) after alteration amount to less that the cost of the reservation before alteration, you will be invoiced for an alteration fee of 10€. If your alteration request is made less than 30 days before arrival, we impose the following charges :

 

  • if your alteration request is made between 30 and 15 days prior to your arrival: 15 % *
  • if your alteration request is made between 14 and 8 days prior to your arrival: 30 % *
  • if your alteration request is made between 7 and 4 day prior to your arrival: 50 % *

* of the price difference.

b) Alteration to holiday dates
Our reservation department will make every effort to fulfil your requests to alter the dates of your holiday as far as is possible within the limits of availability. However, we would draw your attention to the fact that LVH VACANCES incurs costs in respect of this type of alteration that vary in accordance with the date on which you make your request. Additionally, to fulfil any alterations to holiday dates, we impose the following charges :

  • if your alteration request is made earlier than 30 days prior to your arrival and if the cost of your altered reservation is less than the cost of the initial reservation: 10 €
  • if your alteration request is made between 30 and 15 days prior to your arrival: 15 % *
  • if your alteration request is made between 14 and 8 days prior to your arrival: 30 % *
  • if your alteration request is made between 7 and 4 day prior to your arrival: 50 % *

* of the total cost of the holiday (excluding reservation fee).
We will not accept any request 3 days or less prior to your arrival.
You may increase the length of your holiday within the limits of availability without additional fees.
Any request to reduce the length of your holiday will be considered to be a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation terms outlined in clause 4.2 below.

4.2 - Cancellation (total or partial)

In the event of cancellation, you must notify us either by post at the following address LVH VACANCES - 1414 avenue des Landiers - 73000 CHAMBERY France, by fax on +33 (0) 4 79 62 98 85 or by e-mail at : info@lvh-vacances.com The date the cancellation notice is received will determine the date of cancellation.
Whatever the date on which the reservation is cancelled, we will retain the reservation fee and the premiums of any insurance taken out.
From the 60th day prior to your holiday, we will impose the following charges according to your holiday package:

Residences

  • if your cancellation request is made more than 30 days prior to your arrival: 20€ *
  • if your cancellation request is made between 30 and 21 days prior to your arrival: 25 % *
  • if your cancellation request is made between 20 and 15 days prior to your arrival: 50 % *
  • if your cancellation request is made between 14 and 8 days prior to your arrival: 75 % *
  • if your cancellation request is made 7 days or less before your arrival or you fail to arrive: 100 %*

* of the total cost of the accommodation.

Hotel

  • if your cancellation request is made more than 7days prior to your arrival: No fees
  • if your cancellation request is made between 7 and 1 day prior to you arrival: 30% *
  • if your cancellation request is made the day of your arrival or you fail to arrive: 100 % *

* of the total cost of the accommodation.

Cancellation charges are applied reciprocally. Whatever the reason for your cancellation, the amount of the charges may not be reduced. No reimbursement will be made in respect of any holiday that is interrupted or curtailed or any facility not used due to the holiday-maker, whatever the reason.

5 - Arrival and departure

We would draw your attention to the fact that should payment of the full cost not be made despite reminders, it will not be possible to hand over the keys should you arrive at your holiday destination.
In residences : Arrivals generally take place on Saturdays between 5.00 and 7.00 p.m. and departures before 10.00 a.m. These timings will be confirmed in your travel documents. You are advised to notify the reception manager of your approximate arrival time.
In hotel : Arrivals take place from 5.00 p.m. onwards and departures before 10.00 a.m.
In the event of late arrival, it is essential that you alert the residence/hotel in order to obtain any entry codes or procedure for the hand-over of keys. For all information, the contact details of the residence / hotel will be shown on your travel documents.

6 - Security deposit

A deposit of 500 Euros per accommodation unit will be required on your arrival. The client will be invoiced for any lost keys. The client will be held responsible for any breakages, deterioration or damage caused to the fixtures, fittings and furnishings of the residence. Should the security deposit prove insufficient, you will be required to make up the difference. It will be your responsibility to arrange an appointment with the building manager to check the inventory before departure and to ensure that the security deposit paid on your arrival is returned to you ? either directly on departure day after the inventory or by post within 6 weeks after deduction of the cost of any damages, cleaning costs, tourist tax and assorted extras consumed by holiday-makers.

7 - Animals

Pets are accepted on presentation of an anti-rabies vaccination certificate and must be tattooed and vaccinated, (one animal maximum per apartment), and on payment of a charge. They are allowed in the public areas on leads but are not permitted around the swimming pools. Owners are responsible for the good behavior and cleanliness of their animals. Payment is required at the time of reserving your holiday.

8 - Internal regulations and disturbances

In order that your holidays run smoothly, a schedule of internal regulations is available to you in each establishment; we should be grateful if you would familiarize yourself with them and respect them (for example: regulations concerning grassy areas, the swimming pool, car parks, etc.). Your personal belongings are strictly your own responsibility. Consequently, LVH VACANCES cannot be held responsible in case of loss, theft or deterioration of personal effects in our residences, either in the apartments, car parks or public areas (ski locker rooms). Holiday-makers are therefore advised to take out personal public liability insurance. In case of force majeure or chance events, neither the travel organizer nor the intermediaries may be held responsible for any nuisances that may disturb, interrupt or prevent your holiday (avalanche, drought, flood, oil spillage, general interruption to the supply of electricity, gas or water, strike, works...).
Works is generally understood to mean the construction of roads and buildings that may take place in the vicinity of your holiday location. The travel organizer and its intermediaries cannot be held responsible for the acts of third parties with whom they do not have a contract. Holiday-makers will be informed of any nuisances on the sole condition that we ourselves are informed.

9 - After salese

Our on-site staff is available to you throughout your holiday to deal with your complaints, to resolve any reported malfunctions and to enable you to enjoy your holidays to the full. You should contact them for any request. Any complaint after your holiday must:

  • be made by letter sent recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt to LVH VACANCES -1414 avenue des Landiers - 73000 CHAMBERY FRANCE
  • or be sent by e-mail to : info@lvh-vacances.com within one month of the end of your holiday, so that we may respond as quickly as possible. We would draw your attention to the fact that the longer you delay in notifying us of your complaints, the greater the risk that we experience difficulty in fulfilling your request in your best interests. We should also be grateful if you would kindly detail in your letter the name of the person who booked the holiday, the reservation number, the location and dates of your holiday and the type of apartment or room reserved in order to facilitate the handling of the matter on your behalf. Similarly, we should be grateful if you would attach to your letter any documentary evidence that would enable us to handle the matter as speedily as possible.

10 - Insurance

On your behalf, we have taken out cancelation insurance with Mondial Assistance. This insurance takes effect on the day of reservation or at midday the day after the premium is paid, if insurance is taken out after reservation. It is essential to take out the insurance before the cancellation charges become applicable. Contact us for further information.

11 - Information

The reservation of one of our holidays implies acceptance of our general and specific sales conditions. All information regarding sporting and leisure activities in the resorts is provided to us by the Tourist Offices and is passed on to you purely for information purposes. We cannot be held responsible should one of them no longer exist at the time of your holiday. For any further details of life in the resort, please contact the respective Tourist Office directly.
