Snow chains are strongly advised.the weather may be fine on arrival, but be vigilant of potential bad weather on your departure.The police may make chains mandatory.Chaining areas area available along your route.We suggest you practice mounting your specialized equipment to save time during assembly in difficult conditions.
Your GPS: Due to the malfunction of certain GPS systems and the closure of some
roads in winter, we recommend you check your route in advance and follow the directional signs on the roads.
If possible, try to arrive before nightfall : it is always easier to identify and find your accommodation in daylight.
Think about including equipment to clear the snow from your car (shovel,
scraper, brush...) if you have not reserved a covered parking.
If your car is outside during your stay, do not put the hand
break on, leave your car in gear.In cold weather the brakes can lock up.
Don't forget sunscreen or your medical documents in case of minor
or not so minor injury (European card for medical care)
If travelling with family, do not forget the passports / identification -
they can be requested by the the ski lift company to justify reduced rates.
To book ski lessons, check the course schedules for all corresponding levels so you know what what you want before confirming.
For foreign citizens don't forget your passport.For Europeans , think about the European Health Insurance card (EHIC)!
